The Youth Political Activist Coalition Peterborough Action Against Poverty

Date:
Thursday, May 24th, 2018 - 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Youth Political Activist Coalition Town Hall Action Against Poverty

This event is student-led and organised, free of charge, and open to the public. There is an assembled panel of community organisation representatives, and local election candidates, who are ready to share and answer questions around their vision for poverty reduction in the city. Furthermore, this event will provide attendees the opportunity to ask questions of those speaking, network with others, and obtain new resources for personal/educational use.

Predetermined questions will be asked in co-operation with other major activist groups, surrounding public transportation, basic income, the minimum wage, pharmacare, and housing access. After this there will be ample open time for audience questions.

Thus far the panel shall include all the local election candidates (with the exception of Dave Smith and the PCs, who declined), and Marion Burton, president of the Peterborough Labour Council.

Please RSVP if you're interested in attending, and feel free to share the details with your contacts, friends, family, and colleagues in order to spread the word.
