Helping Howard Hospital Concert!
Seventeen years ago, a young Torontonian graduated the University of Toronto as a Doctor of Medicine. Wanting to make a real difference to the lives of the less fortunate he became the Chief Medical Officer of The Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe. Howard is a rural Salvation Army Hospital in one of the poorest countries on earth, and with 25% of the population impacted with the AIDS virus.
Howard receives no government funding and stays open only because of the generosity of donors and the tireless work of Dr. Paul. In 2008 The Canadian Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons presented the first ever Teasdale-Corti Humanitarian Award to Dr. Paul Thistle for his life’s work in serving the people in rural Zimbabwe.
Please join Dr. Paul Thistle and his family for a night of fun as we celebrate their contribution, and those made by the many local volunteers and donors. There will be lots of opportunity during the evening to talk one on one with Paul and his family.
