How can I get involved? At the Kawartha World Issues Centre, you can decide how you want to be involved: Drop by the Resource Centre. KWIC has a free active lending library of books, current local and international subscriptions, teacher curriculum kits and videos. The Centre is a perfect spot for quiet study at one of our big wooden tables, or to curl-up on the couch and read from any one of our current magazine subscriptions. Volunteer! KWIC’s work in the community depends on the skills
and enthusiasm of a dedicated group of volunteers. You can choose to give
your time, energy and ideas to a specific project, such as International
Development Week or Global Youth Day. You can assist in the resource centre,
lead or develop workshops for local schools and community groups, Become a member receive our bi-annual newsletter, vote and run for the Board of Directors ~ and help support KWIC events and programs in our community! |
