Identities Speak: Storytelling & Spoken Word Gathering ~ 5-7 pm presented by Seeds for Justice and TUNA. Come share, listen and enjoy stories in voices from around the world. Free Screening of “What A Way to Go” 7-9:30 pm Council of Canadians presents this film about a middle-class white who guy comes to grips with Peak Oil, Climate Change, Mass Extinction, Population Overshoot and the demise of the American Lifestyle. Learning To Be Me: A Look at Intersecting Identities Art Show ~ 2-9 pm
A visual art display created by Queer, Questioning, or Allied members of the Peterborough community. Free event open to all. Donations welcome. Some pieces for sale by artists. Opening remarks at 6:00pm. Hosted by the Trent Queer Collective Sadlier House, Senior Common Room ~ 751 George Street North

Photo Show & CD Release Party ~ 6:30 pm A month-long photo show featuring photography by Alex Atfield opens with a reception at 6:30pm and live music all evening.  Sioux and David Newberry kick-off their tour with invited guests, Jimi Maze and Kay Pettigrew.  PWYC at the door. One of the framed photos will be given away as a door prize!  Proceeds to www.howgreen.ca The Spill Café ~ 414 George Street

26th Annual One World Dinner ~ ‘Food Justice’ ~ 5:30 pm Peterborough’s 27th Vegetarian Community Potluck! Enjoy great food, live music, and cajun dancing with Peterborough’s own BobCajun. Raffle and dessert auction. Guest speaker, Dr. Peter Andrée. Everyone brings a vegetarian main dish to share, serving spoon and dish pack. Saturday February 2nd, Talk by Jennifer Clapp, former professor at Trent and now professor at the University of Waterloo, Department of Environmental Studies on local food initiatives in light of neoliberal globalization.
